Chrissy Mori is a customer service specialist at the Belle Vernon branch of Laurel Highlands Insurance Group LLC. She got her position with the help of her mother-in-law, Kellie, whom had been working for LHIG and asked Chrissy to help answer phones. Chrissy enjoyed the position enough to obtain her insurance license and now works in servicing personal lines and is apprenticing in commercial lines. She has been working here for a little over three years now, specializing in helping customers with their needs, answering the phones, and talking with dealerships.
A home and work life balance is very important to Chrissy, so she greatly appreciates that her coworkers respect her needs. With her role model as her good friend Ivy, Chrissy learned that it’s possible to build the life she wants while also being present with her family. Before working in insurance, Chrissy was a stay-at-home mom, which she adored; however, she is now able to have a career she loves that allows her to still spend time with her children. When she isn’t working, she can be found outside with her little ones, drawing with sidewalk chalk, teaching them how to ride bikes, taking nature walks and hikes, and visiting her neighbors’ farms.
Although she never would have seen herself working in insurance, Chrissy now lives her life only regretting that she hadn’t begun it sooner. She follows the advice, “strive to be better tomorrow than you were today”, continuing to learn more about her career, as well as growing as a mother and a wife.
