Lawrence Altobelli, called “Larry”, has been a personal lines sales specialist at the Uniontown branch of Laurel Highlands Insurance Group LLC for 25 years. He has been good friends with the agency’s president, Joe Rettura, for many years. After his dream job of construction wore out his body, Joe offered Larry his position and he has been here since. His favorite part about working in insurance is that whenever something bad happens to someone, they’re covered. Larry finds pleasure in giving clients the coverage they need.
To his coworkers, Larry provides a relaxing and witty presence, but he also encourages them to work diligently to complete their tasks. Larry lives by the advice he once heard, “when you are good, you are never as good as you think you are. And when you are bad, you are never as bad as you think you are”.
At home he enjoys computer games, playing with his grandkids, watching TV, and kayaking with his wife, whom he says is very selfless and does what she can for everyone else. Larry doesn’t have many regrets because he believes most things he did for a reason. He would, however, tell his younger self to focus more on schoolwork... and to invest in Microsoft.
