Megan Spanbauer started working as a customer service specialist at the Uniontown branch of Laurel Highlands Insurance Group LLC in January of 2021. She’s on the service lines, answering phone calls, taking payments, following up on accidents, and feeding the office dog, Dakota. She’s known as the “Professional Dogwalker of LHIG”, but she’s also her coworkers’ favorite person to work with because she is always positive and happy to help others.
The best part about working at Laurel Highlands for Megan is that there’s always something new for her to learn every day. She is currently studying to get her life license in hopes of working her way up in the insurance business. But when she’s not working or studying, Megan takes her Pitbull, Leslie Chow, on walks, waitresses at the Summit Inn, and spends time with her family in Pittsburgh. When she’s with her family, she enjoys having a good meal and a good conversation. She’s been driven professionally by the example of her parents’ hard work and ability to always be optimistic in life. Megan doesn’t have many regrets because she truly feels that she is where she is meant to be in her life at the moment. Living by the advice from her former boss, “no matter how many times you fall, get up and keep on going”, Megan found her way and is continuing to blossom.
